Phoenixville Cat and Dog Kennel

Family-owned and operated since 1962, Hickory Springs Farm cat and dog kennel is nestled on 16 acres in the beautiful rolling hills of northern Chester County, Pennsylvania, just outside Phoenixville. Hartley and Barbara Connett have run the kennels for three decades. They have poured their love for animals into the business in order to offer your pet the best possible care away from home.

“Hickory Springs is a wonderful place for someone looking for a special place for their dogs, but more importantly a great vacation away from home for the dogs I have used Hickory Springs now for six years for my dog. I have always been very impressed by the staff’s knowledge of caring for dogs. They also spend extra time getting to know your dog, their unique personalities and their quirks.”  — Stephanie Kershner

Because the kennel is their home, you can rest assured that an owner or kennel manager is there around the clock. Every night between 8 and 10 o’clock they tour the kennel to make sure all dogs and cats are safe and secure.

While boarding with us, your dog or cat will delight in our fun-filled activities and savor our tasty, nutritious menu offerings. They’ll enjoy the freedom of indoor-outdoor kennel runs, as well as our à la carte services, activities, and food options.

Treat your dog to doggy daycare that’s packed with tail-wagging play, supervised fun, and barkingly good social interaction in an indoor or outdoor pen. Enrich your dog’s spirit, increase her social skills, provide physical exercise, and stimulate her mind.

Our grooming service is like a spa-day at the dog kennel.A full-time groomer provides this beauty treatment that includes haircuts, brush-outs, and fluff drying for that just-coiffed look. We also clip your dog’s nails and clean his ears to prevent infections.

Take advantage of our dog training by a certified dog trainer and animal behaviorist. Our trainer combines the most successful concepts from classical conditioning as well as reward and correction-based training for a well-rounded program that delivers results.
