Philosophy

The purpose of Dog Day Care at Hickory Springs Farm is to provide a safe and healthy play environment where dogs can play and interact with each other off leash while their owners are away. This environment is meant to enrich their spirit, increase their social skills, offer an off-leash area to exercise their body, and give hours of play to stimulate their mind. Supervised by caring handlers, our day care offers an educational alternative to being left home alone, with exercise, socialization and opportunities to learn new skills while interacting with other dogs. We have two large play yards, ndoors and outdoor, allowing for safe and comfortable play all year long.

Age- 4 months or older

Sex- Spayed/neutered over 6 months of age

Shots- Bordetella (kennel cough), DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) and Rabies shot at 6 months

Temperament Screening - All dogs must pass a temperant test to assure that they are boh dog and people friendly. Clients may bring their dog for screening Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are appreciated but not necessary.

Reservations-Reccomended

The day care is open from 7:30 - 5:30, Monday through Friday. The dogs enjoy the following daily schedule:
• Five hours of play or less = half day   
• Over five hours of play = full day
