Group Classes

Saturday March 17, 2012 at 11:00 am - Puppy Socialization Class

3 Saturday sessions (45 minutes) - March 17, March 31 and April 14th

This class is an opportunity for your puppy to participate in supervised play with other dogs and for you to learn how to read your dogs' body language. Each class will focus on a different training command. Socializing your dog early will help prevent anxiety and aggression down the road. The cost for this class is $60 but graduates from this class will receive a $20 discount on either a private lesson package or a day care package (5 days or greater). Dogs must be six months of age or younger. Registration is required.

Saturday March 17, 2012 at 12:30 - Basic Obedience Class Begins

4 Saturday classes (45 minutes) - March 17, 24, 31 and April 7

Come learn basic obedience commands in a small group setting. All dogs must be dog friendly and at least six months old. Registration is required.

Saturday April 7, 2012 at 11:00am - FREE Clicker Seminar

Come learn how to train your dog using a clicker. This 45 minute free seminar is FREE but space is limited, so please RSVP if you would like to attend. Jessie will demonstrate what can be accomplished with a clicker. This class is for pet parents only (please leave our furry friends at home). There will be plenty of time to ask questions and to take a clicker-trained dog for a "test drive"!

We offer multiple group classes in a working environment. When the weather is nice our classes are held outside in our spacious field or parking lot. In inclement weather we do have an indoor training area with rubber matted floors.

Basic Obedience/On leash $160/four sessions
Curriculum:

Heel (controlled walking at handlers side)
Recall (“come”, “here”)
Sit/stay
Place (boundary stay)
Off (“don’t touch”, “don’t jump”)
No/Yes (good)
Basic crate exercise
Conditioning to a selected collar
Socialize with other dogs

Intermediate Obedience/On leash $160/four sessions
Curriculum:

Greeting a stranger with your dog
Look/watch
Introduce your dog loose into a group of people
Sit & stay at a distance
Advanced healing
Place at a distance (send out)
Recall at a distance
Advanced crate training
Socialize with other dogs

Advanced Obedience/Off leash $160/four sessions
Curriculum:

All commands are reviewed in an advanced setting
Indoor and outdoor settings with natural and simulated challenging distractions
Get your dog’s attention at a higher level than most house pets

This class is held primarily on weekends or daylight hours. An introduction to E-collars and conditioning is offered. This class is only offered to graduates of both the Basic and Intermediate classes.
