Barbara and Hartley Connett - Owners

They have owned Hickory Springs Farm Boarding Kennels for twenty two of the forty two years of establishment. Their priority is to provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment for all of their guests. They have a pet of their own and enjoy tremendously the satisfaction received in caring for the members of your family. They welcome you to come and visit the facilities and look forward to having your pet as their guest.

Allison Connett - General Manager

Allison left the corporate world and began work at Hickory Springs
Farm as the General Manager in February 2006.  She graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2001 with a BS in Psychology and after joining the HSF team earned her ABKA Pet Care Technician Certification.  Allison and her husband, Tom, live on Hickory Springs Farm with their three children and two labrador retrievers, Jonah and Stryder and a cat named Gracie.  Allison oversees all daily operations including Boarding, Grooming, Training and Day Care.

Steffanie - Kennel Manager

Steff has been with HSF since November 1999, and received her Pet Care Technician Certification in March of 2001. She is also a graduate of the CAT Pickering School majoring in Animal Science. Steff is quick to pick up and handle any job and really enjoys the close interaction she experiences with your pets. She is especially experienced in dealing with scared or timid dogs, and has 5 dogs and 2 cats of her own.

Carol - Groomer

Carol began grooming show dogs 20 years ago as a hobby and as a way to use her degree in art from Penn State University. She decided to leave the corporate world and joined HSF seventeen years ago. Carol began and established a full-time grooming shop here after being the kennel manager for several years. Since she no longer shows dogs, she continues her education by attending seminars, taking courses and doing extensive reading. You will find her working here Monday through Friday to make your pampered pets look their very best.

Della - Daycare Manager

Della is a very important member of our HSF team. Not only does she take excellent care of each animal but she is also quite gifted as our "resident repair woman"! Clients see Della filling all kinds of roles as she splits her time between the kennel and the day care (that is when she isn't repairing something on the property). She is a woman of many hats and we would be lost without her!
